A Challenging Week

Hi lovely readers,

Welcome to this week's The Sunday Post, hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer

It's been a challenging week for me at work. We've been manager-less for a bit and had a new manager hired in November and the new person is set on making decisions that trickle down to us in a negative way. What's worse is that they are also terrible at communicating, so everyone is feeling some type of way. Morale is very low at work. Then, I also had to deal with some challenges with my neighbors ... the couple downstairs have been fighting for a while and got somewhat volatile and it ended in a breakup. I find loud voices to be very triggering so I was feeling anxious the whole time I was in my apartment.

What I Read

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to do too much reading this week. I listened to Borrow My Heart by Kasie West and the book was a balm to my soul. I did start Say You'll Be Mine by Naina Kumar, last night and I'm enjoying it a lot. I'm hoping it'll continue to be a solid read.

Book Haul

I stopped by the library by my house yesterday and I couldn't resist hauling these titles. I've been meaning to read Sarah Hawley's books as I've heard good things from favorite bloggers. I'm a fan of the cozy fantasy/PNR genre, so I'm looking forward to reading A Witch's Guide to Fake Dating a Demon and A Demon's Guide to Wooing a Witch. I also picked up Snowed In For Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe because the cover is adorable.

My Blog Posts

Thank you so much for stopping by my Sunday Post. I hope you have a wonderful Sunday and a lovely week ahead.

  1. I hate when managers ruin morale! Jobs are tough and a person who actively makes it less enjoyable is awful. I also don't handle loud voices and yelling well, so I understand!

  4. I'm so sorry you've had a challenging week. Bad managers are the worst! I'm sorry about your neighbors too. I'm glad that you read some good books though. I read Borrow My Heart last year and loved it!
