My First Week of Blogging

Hi lovely readers,

Welcome to my first ever The Sunday Post, hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer

I launched my blog this past week and it was such a thrill. I had written posts in advance, so it was rewarding to see my first few go live just as scheduled. Thankfully, it all went very smoothly. 😊 While I don't have a set posting routine yet, I think I'm going to let things unfold organically for now.

Blogging has been a fun creative outlet already for me. I look forward to developing my voice, discovering new reads, and connecting with all of you along the way. One goal I have is to regularly visit and comment on other blogs, since this amazing book blogging community inspired me to start my own. I have to figure out where to fit that into my daily schedule. If only work wasn't a hindrance ...

Speaking of work, I have finally met a coworker who reads books and she is currently binge-reading the ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas. We spoke about our reading tastes and I could not help myself from giving her some recommendations. 😉 It's so exciting to meet someone IRL who loves books just as much you!

What I Read

I loved Bride by Ali Hazelwood so much that while in the middle of reading it, I went ahead and bought myself a physical copy from my favorite local indie. Stay tuned for a review later this upcoming week.
I also started A Fragile Enchantment by Allison Saft and I think I'm going to have a great time with it!

Book Haul

As I mentioned, I went and bought a physical copy of Bride by Ali Hazelwood and I'm beyond happy to have it on my shelf. I also could not help myself from requesting an ARC of Not in Love by Ali Hazelwood. She has not yet disappointed me as an author, so I'm excited to give it a read. Thank you to Berkley Publishing for the copy! Finally, I downloaded Black Ties & White Lies by Kat Singleton from Kindle Unlimited. I had seen a very convincing review on bookstagram and I basically needed to have the book right then and there! Don't you just love a convincing review?

My Blog Posts

Thank you so much for stopping by my Sunday Post. I hope you have a wonderful Sunday and an even better week ahead.

  5. When I started my book blog almost 3 years ago, I did all the memes! It was a great way to "meet" other bloggers and find my community. Now, I only do the ones I truly love and have time for ;) I love that you are not rushing or pushing things. Have a great week! 1. I'm only doing The Sunday Post and Top Ten Tuesday because they appealed to me the most. It could definitely get very overwhelming if I tried to do everything. Thank you so much for the kind words of encouragement, Cindy!

  6. Welcome to book blogging it can be an amazing ride. I would recommend just letting things work out when i first started i had a full time job and tried to do all the things to stand out. I quickly realized that wasn’t going to work. I switched to a self hosted blog when i got tried of blogger constantly taking down my posts. I been quite happy with word press since then. I tweaked things over the years and i don’t do a lot of memes there just not my style but i started the weekly wrap up this year and i have enjoyed having all my weekly info in one spot for my readers who may not have time to stop by. I also started using the bookly app and including book graphics from that app in my post. I read Fragile Enchament this past week as fairy loot was doing it as a read along this week. I would of lked less romance and more magic so it was a 3 star read for me. Have a great week hope to see you around the blogsphere.

    1. Thank you so much for all the advice, Jan! I will definitely try to go with the flow and not over-exert myself. I never want this to feel like yet another chore. :)
Good to know about Fragile Enchantment! I will try to manage my expectations about the magic. Thank you so much!
